METHODIST LADIES COLLEGE HVAC UGRADE
The HVAC upgrade works to the boarding house and dining hall, included installing new VRV ceiling cassette units throughout with branch select boxes. And a new HVAC unit suppling conditioned air to the dining hall via a fabric duct. All plant was located on a new structural steel plant deck with acoustic screens, which was assembled and clad at ground level, before being craned into position.
Murwil worked diligently to ensure that the new works were incorporated seamlessly into the existing heritage buildings, constructed in the late 1800s. In collaboration with the project consultant team, we managed to introduce cranked beams which enabled us to avoid needing roof penetrations for the new steel plant deck. By utilising our innovative approach, the project was streamlined, ensuring all works were completed prior to the start of the new school year.
